It is hard to believe it is the last weeks of school. We have been making it a fun end to the year. We got to enjoy an ice cream treat from Owen. 3K also enjoyed some nice weather and played with the trucks outside. I will miss you all! Good luck with 4K next year and have a fun summer!

It is hard to believe that there are only seven 3K classes left. Nolan and Savannah were our "Super Students" and did a great job sharing. Big news for 3K, we received our caterpillars so we are excited to watch them change and grow into butterflies. May 11th is our dairy day presentation.
As the school year wraps up, remember our last day celebration is June 1st. Also please remember the last week of school to bring home all extra clothes or anything left in cubby area. Thank you for a wonderful year! In 3K today, we made Rainbow Toast. It is super easy to make. We mixed our condensed milk with food coloring to make "paint" and then painted our piece of bread. This cooking experience was fun and the kids did not even realize they were learning. Science, art, and language development all in one activity! In a small group setting we talked about the different colors we were using and the ingredients. We also talked about the taste and if we liked the bread or not.
We are at the last week in April! The Super Student activity is going well and Lucy was the SS today. It is fun to get to know everyone a little better and the students love sharing photos of their families. This week we are enjoying some nice spring weather and learning about nature. 3K will read the story "The Tiny Seed" and discuss parts of a flower. We will also be making some rainbow toast on Thursday!
Reminders: May 11th we have a guest speaker for Dairy Day June 1st is our Last Day Celebration Auction of the Heart is May 6th I hope everyone had a blessed Easter! We had fun today in 3K. We made beautiful designs using coffee filters and water. The students are reviewing letters we learned and on Thursday we are going to play a Spring Bingo game. It was the start to our Super Student today, and Cameron shared some special photos and decorated her star. Thank you for sharing Cameron! Reminder: Scholastic orders are due by the end of this week! Even though it was a gloomy Tuesday, 3K did have fun making binoculars and looking for nature while outside.
April is here! 3K is blooming with awesome learning and fun. We have two more letters to learn about, Y and Z. Letter Y is this week. In the plans is a bunny card craft and tracing letter Y with beans/rocks. We also had a spectacular show-n-share day!
I can't believe it is almost April, but here we are. The students got adjusted to our daily routine again after a nice Spring Break. This week we are learning about letter X and looked at some x-rays of the human body and animals. 3K also did some painting and we enjoyed the nice Spring weather outside on Tuesday!
3K Updates
I am in the works of planning an end of the year party/celebration of completing 3K. I will send out formal paperwork when I have everything set in stone, this should be by next week. It would be the last day of school, June 1st. It was a fun week before Spring Break. In 3K we did some St. Patrick's Day activities, including making rainbow necklaces and painting with green! The students also wore green on Thursday to celebrate. Have a happy and safe Spring Break!
Reminder: Our "egg-celent" party to celebrate Easter time is going to be Thursday, April 13th! |
